Welcome Letter to my Students

Dear Student,

I am very excited to have you in my class this year. Fourth grade has a wonderful curriculum.  We will spend the year learning about our state, North Carolina, mastering multiple digit multiplication and division, enjoying novels together and doing cool science experiments and so many other things I just can't list them all.  But most important we will be a family unit that supports and cares for each other.

Let me tell you a little about myself.  My home is in Vale near Union Elementary School.  My husband Jeff and I have two daughters, Cameron and LeeAnna.  Cameron and her husband Michael live in Lake Wylie, SC and LeeAnna and her husband Nathan live in San Diego California.  The joy of my lift is my two beautiful grandsons Bennett and Campbell (I know you think that I'm too young to be a Grandmother). I have two dogs, Belle and Bear.

In my free time I love to spend time with my family, read all different types of books, newspapers, magazines and watch the food network and HGTV.  One of my favorite places to visit is San Diego because this allows me to spend time with my daughter.   Also I like to stay up late and sleep in the morning.  Because of this habit, 6:00 comes really early each morning.  Sometimes its hard to get up and get going.

I really enjoy teaching 4th grade.  My class is always filled with children who are curious, follow school rules and are kind to each other.  Although I don’t like to get up early, I have been anxiously awaiting the beginning of the school year.  Being at Childers Elementary, home of the Cubs, is very exciting.  As we continue to make new friends and start new traditions here at Childers Elementary, I am convinced that this is the best school in the county.  Childers is the best elementary school because of students like you.

                                                                 Sincerely,

                                                                 Mrs. Young
