A paper copy of the packet is available at school on the distribution days of March 18 and 18, 2020. I have also scanned and uploaded a digital file of the packet into canvas announcements and included a video file to "unpack" the packet. The packet consists of a section of planning forward instruction. These packets are for Lincolnton High School, and student's enrolled in the Microsoft Imagine course.
Stay safe, and stay healthy! Check your email, Remind account, and Canvas for updates, daily. I will communicate mostly through Canvas. Please email me for class assistance, if you need an assignment opened, etc.
I hope you are doing well. Please check your email during this time and work in our class. Remember, there are videos in Canvas on how to download the text, download Microsoft to your computer, and set up google drive. You can work ahead and complete vocabulary and set up questions, even if you have to do them in google documents. Set up your folders for all upcoming lessons.
Remember, you have in the back of your notebooks the Gmetrix username and password. You can also go to gmetrix.net and download a FREE version to your computer if the program states you have to pay a fee, wrong place. Read the directions and do this with your parent or guardian, all networks with Internet and computers may be different, read the instructions on gmetrix.net to determine how to download, there is no way I can do this for you due to the various configurations of home networks.

Ms. Jennifer Luper
I am honored to be a member of the wonderful staff members of the Lincolnton High School family. I started my career in education at Lincolnton High School in 1991. I am a trained high school teacher, in which my goal is to not only teach my subject area but to reinforce professional skills which will prepare students to be career-ready! Teaching is a noble career in which you have a real connection to the future through positive interaction with my students.
I am a lifelong learner--I hold teaching certifications in four areas. I am the CTE department/professional learning chair at Lincolnton High School. I have a Master's Degree from Appalachian State University.
As an undergraduate student, at ASU, I had to opportunity to meet and speak with Maya Angelou, she was an outstanding writer and poet. Who inspired individuals with her words. A few of her quotes which I aspire to include in my daily life.
"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain." ~Maya Angelou
"You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them." ~Maya Angelou
"My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry..." ~Maya Angelou
In addition, I truly believe we learn more from our mistakes than our successes, we must keep trying for improvement each day. I look forward to the upcoming year. I am the advisor for Future Business Leaders of America. I was honored by NC FBLA to be chosen as the NC FBLA Adviser of the Year for 2019. If you are taking a business course, I strongly encourage you to join FBLA; feel free to stop by Room 201 for more information.
Note for parents/guardians--together we can ensure your child's success in my class.
Please continue to monitor your child's progress in all classes. You may contact their teacher by phone or email and also view their grades anytime by PowerSchool or Canvas app. If you do not have the correct access information, feel free to contact Lincolnton High School's Data Manager Ms. Amber Willard in the office (704-735-3089) or email her email@example.com
