Dr. Thelma Rozukalns

Mrs. Rozukalns is the 6th and 7th grade chorus teacher at West Lincoln Middle School and the 8th grade chorus teacher at Lincolnton Middle School. She earned the Bachelor of Music Education from Youngstown State University, Master of Music Vocal Performance from the University of Akron, Master of Music Education from Wichita State University, and Doctor of Arts from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Rozukalns received the Gunild Keetman Grant to complete Orff Level I, has completed Kodaly training Levels I & II, has taken workshops in McClosky vocal technique, and was one of twelve voice teachers to participate in the National Association of Teachers of Singing 2002 Intern Program. She is a member of the National Association of Music Education and National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Dr. Rozukalns has performed with her husband, Andris in solo recitals, oratorio, opera, and as a chorister with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and Choeur l'Orchestre National de Lyon. Her work experience includes teaching K-8 vocal music in Kansas and North Carolina public schools, teaching private voice lessons for over 20 years, and teaching voice, voice class, and music courses at the collegiate level. When she is not teaching, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband, son, and their family cat, Isabella.
