Dr. Thelma Rozukalns

Mrs. Rozukalns is the 6th grade chorus teacher at West Lincoln Middle School and the 6th and 7th grade chorus teacher at Lincolnton Middle School. She earned the Bachelor of Music Education from Youngstown State University, Master of Music Education from Wichita State University, Master of Music Vocal Performance from the University of Akron, and Doctor of Arts from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Rozukalns received the Gunild Keetman Grant, completed Orff Level I and Kodaly Level I, has taken workshops in McClosky Vocal Technique, and was one of twelve voice teachers to participate in the National Association of Teachers of Singing 2002 Intern Program. She is a member of the National Association for Music Education and National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Dr. Rozukalns has performed with her husband, Andris Rozukalns in solo recitals, oratorio, opera, and as a chorister with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and Choeur l'Orchestre National de Lyon. Her work experience includes teaching K-8 vocal music in Kansas and North Carolina public schools, teaching studio voice lessons for over 20 years, voice class, music appreciation and music courses for classroom teachers. She has been with Lincoln County Schools for 11 years and enjoys working with young voices!
