Visual Artists at West Lincoln Middle School explore multiple mediums, including black and white drawing, color drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, earthenware pottery, digital media and mixed media. Classes are 42 minutes long. The Visual Arts department has two school board approved fundraising sales each year. In the fall semester, students design and produce pottery ornaments.  This sale introduces students to the career of an artisan potter, enabling students to learn to plan a budget, collaboratively design ware that is commercially appealing, and raise funds to purchase supplies to use in class. The second fundraiser will be announced when the Spring semester is underway. These sales have ranged from a candy sale, an ice cream pottery bowl, and a pizza and pottery plate creation.

The starting date for ART CLUB will be announced in September and will be on Thursday afternoons from 3pm until 4:00pm. Students will preregister outside the Art room door (rm 221) by Wednesday each week, and must have someone to pick them up at 4:00pm at the cafeteria entrance.
