Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am excited about being your child’s school counselor. Previous to being a school counselor, I was a classroom teacher. It is during that experience I knew I wanted to connect with students on a more personal level and help guide them through their development. Therefore, as your child’s school counselor, I will provide classroom lessons focused around personal/ social development as well as academic and career development. I also provide small groups for those students needing more intense support. In the past, these have been focused on family changes, grief and loss, and self-help topics. I am excited to announce that Teddy, the therapy dog, will be joining me again this school year. Teddy is a 4-year-old goldendoodle who loves to help students. His favorite things are playing, helping others, and sleeping. He is excited about meeting all our new kindergarten students and continuing his friendships with the boys and girls from last year.
