Mrs. Ann Samuelson

I am Mrs. Samuelson. This is my seventh year teaching in Lincoln County and I taught in Union County before that. I have taught 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st grades. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Brian for 33 years and have three grown children. My oldest son is a Union County high school teacher and was married in June 2018. My oldest daughter is an ICU nurse in Pineville and was married in April 2018. My youngest daughter works in Ballantyne and is getting married in December 2019. Needless to say we have been very blessed that our family has grown so much and all have stayed close to home. So far the only other additions have been 3 grand dogs. Since we are empty nesters, Lucy, our five year old rescue dog is a big part of our home. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University. I have lived in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and am thrilled to have been in North Carolina for the past 22 years. I treat all the children in my class like my own children. I love teaching and am proud to be a Lincoln County second grade teacher at St. James Elementary.

Some of my favorite things are: drinking lattes on the screen porch, going to church, collecting anchors, eating dark chocolate, going to Chick Fil A and Carrabba's, cooking, gardening, boat rides, walking and swimming with Brian and Lucy, cheering for the Panthers, listening to country music, and hanging out with our grown children.
