I grew up in Lincoln County and attended Love Memorial Elementary as a child.  I graduated from West Lincoln High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Charlotte.  This is my twenty-ninth year of teaching.  Mike and I have been married for twenty-nine years, and we have two children, Hunter and Hannah.  Hunter is a graduate of Haywood Community College with an associate's degree in Fish and Wildlife Management and is a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology.  He works for APHIS, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture.   Hannah is a December 2022 graduate of Appalachian State University where she received her degree in Elementary Education.  Hannah is currently also teaching at North Brook Elementary.  My family and I are members of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church.  I enjoy spending time with family, fishing, reading, and shopping. I love my job and can’t imagine doing anything other than teaching.
