I am excited about serving students and families in my 7th year with Lincoln County Schools as a school social worker! My goal is to be a liaison between home and school and assist where needed to meet physical, social, emotional, and educational needs. I serve schools in the Western Zone - North Brook Elementary, Union Elementary, West Lincoln Middle, and West Lincoln High. (Go Blue Jays, Owls, Chiefs, and Rebels!) Prior to joining Lincoln County Schools in 2017, my previous social work experience was with Catawba County Department of Social Services, where I served 12 years in different areas of child welfare. I received my Bachelors in Communication Studies and Master of Social Work, both from UNC-Chapel Hill...go Tar Heels! My husband, Jason, teaches Exceptional Children at West Lincoln High School. We have two sons, Caleb and Luke, both students in Lincoln County Schools. We enjoy time outdoors, sports, and trips together as a family. At Union, Elementary, I help with the Gardening/AG Club. Since I am not a classroom teacher, I do not have set office hours, so you can contact me anytime during the school day.
