• We encourage all medication to be given at home when possible. However, we understand the need may arise for a student to take medication at school. If this happens, there are several things to keep in mind.

    1. ALL medication (prescription and over the counter) MUST have a Medication Administration Form on file. You MUST have a new form filled out every school year.  This form can be found below and MUST be signed by a Physician AND Parent

    Medication Administration Form

    2. Parents must bring the medication in to school and sign it in with Nurse Jennifer or a member of the office staff. Please DO NOT send medication to school with a student in their backpack.

    3. Please make sure that when you are bringing prescription medication that it is in the original container with a pharmacy label and not expired. All over the counter meds must be a new package, unopened and not expired. Please make sure that the medication you are bringing in matches the order from the physician.

    4. All medications will be kept in Nurse Jennifer's office in a locked cabinet. If your student needs to carry the medication with them, there is an additional box on the Medication Admistration Form that the physician must sign.

    5. At the end of the school year, ALL medications must be picked up and signed out by a parent. We will not send medication home with a student on the bus. Any medication not picked up by a parent at the end of the school year will be disposed of. I am not allowed to keep any medication over the summer.
