I have been teaching at Lincolnton High School for the past 6 years, and I LOVE what I do!  As my former students will tell you, I love to incorporate humor into any and every lesson possible so that learning is enjoyable and relatable to everyone in my classroom. 

I graduated from Appalachian State University for my undergraduate degree and decided to immediately go to graduate school.  I earned my Master's in Comprehensive Education/English from Western Carolina University before even starting my teaching career.  Because I have a Master's, many of my students call me Master P or Grand Master P, and I love it! 

In my own education, it was always the teacher that made the class for me no matter the subject, so I try to keep that in mind every day while I'm teaching my own classes.  Currently I teach English I, English IV, and AP Lit, but I have taught every level of English over the course of my career.  I look forward to getting to know a new group of students and I hope that I can help them to love literature the way I do!  Feel free to check out my slideshow below for some great pics of my little fam!  GO WOLVES!
