Hi, and welcome to my page!

My name is Kym Gloska and I am one of the 7th grade "Happy Camper" Team teachers.  I teach Pre-Algebra and math.  This is my 28th and 1/2  year teaching at West Middle!  I obviously love what I do!  (Or I wouldn't have stayed here as long as I have!)

Some things about me:  I am a military brat.  My father was in the United States Air Force and we moved every 3 years.  Besides North Carolina, I have lived in Texas, Ohio, South Carolina, as well as in Germany.  I found that by moving around a lot, I have a different perspective on things than others around here. For one, I don't like Sundrop!  Mountain Dew girl here!!  No seriously,  I wanted something that others have around here.....roots,  someplace I could call my home.  I have accomplished this by living in the wonderful community of Vale, with my husband.   We also have 2 children who both graduated from West Lincoln High School.

One thing that I hope everyone can say about me is I have good work ethic.  I believe that everyone should always do their best.  I work hard at what I do and expect my students to give me their best effort as well.  My goal is to instill in my students a life-long love of learning and to be passionate about life.

Places you might find me:    You might also find me at church, usually hanging around with the youth, no surprise there.   I also live on a farm! Yep... cows, horses, chickens, and goats.  Yes, even a cat and several dogs!  So much of my time I spend at home with my family on the farm.  We also like to do things as a family -- whether it is camping, paddle boarding, cooking out, and getting up hay (wait... don't love that).
