Meet Teddy

Meet Teddy

  • Meet Teddy: Teddy is going into his third year at St. James. Teddy is Mrs. Ruble's trained and certified therapy dog. Teddy will come to school throughout the week to visit students and attend Classroom Guidance lessons with Mrs. Ruble. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Ruble via email or by phone.

What is the need for therapy dogs in schools?

    • Help students and staff to relax and be calm
    • Help model and teach respect, responsibility, empathy, compassion, tolerance, and acceptance.
    • Help to deescalate situations and disagreements between students
    • Help someone that has worries
    • Be a friend without judging
    • Help with self-esteem and confidence
    • Help us smile
