Sight Word Cards,Games & Activities

  • These short phrases contain Fry Instant Word List (sight words) which represent some of the most common words that kids encounter.  Repeated practice of a few phrases a day will improve sight word recognition, fluency and genral reading.  The first page contains the first 100 Fry's words, the second page contains the second 100 words, and the third page containts (you guessed it)  the third 100 Fry sight words.

    The Florida Center for Reading Research has fabulous games to help students learn sight words.  You could print word cards and/or games or get ideas for your own games based on the ones contained in this link.
