~As an educator, I have a new perspective and approach to teaching art to students. I desire entire classes of students to experience the benefits of art. I have a much stronger dedication to the wellness of my students. The constant in our lives throughout history has been the need for self-expression. In the classroom, students learn to apply strategies and techniques, both visually and verbally, as a means of self-expression. My goal is also to create a sense of community so that the classroom is a reprieve from the world's chaos. Learning new skills and experimenting with art materials and methods have an exemplary positive effect on students.  Together, we will explore art and increase our methods of communication, consideration, self-confidence, growth mindset, and overall well-being.
