Hi, my name is Tracy Eley and I am proud to be the principal at West Lincoln High School. I have been in education for 20 years, all of them have been in Lincoln County. I live in Boger City with my husband and three children.  I attended CVCC for my Associates Degree, UNC Charlotte for my Bachelors Degree, and Gardner Webb for my Masters Degree in Administration. I have earned my National Board Certification and have been awarded Principal of the Year, Teacher of the Year and Principal of schools whose student growth was among the top 50% in the state.

My philosophy as an administrator is to build positive relationships with parents, staff, the community, and  the students to foster a positive learning environment where all students are successful. I have a passion for education and believe if you work hard you can accomplish anything.

  • I am honored to have the opportunity to introduce myself as the newest addition to the WLH administrative team as Assistant Principal. My name is Hoy Colson, and I am joining you from Cleveland County Schools, where I worked in Burns High School as the band director for 12 years. Many of you know me from that role.

My approach to educational leadership balances academic expectations with a strong focus on student well-being and social-emotional development. I believe this is the pathway to genuinely effective education. I am excited to bring this passion and dedication to our community. I am confident that we can create an enriching and supportive environment for every student's success.

I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working alongside and getting to know each one of you as part of this exceptional team.

I am excited to be one of your Assistant Principals for the 2022-2023 (and hopefully many more) school year. Though this is not my first time on the west end of the county, I consider myself truly privileged to work with all of you at the high school level. The sense of community that runs deeply within your school environment is something that I am looking forward to rejoining.  The past two years I have been serving as the Athletic Director at North Lincoln High School. My love for all athletics gave me an unique edge on supporting the coaches and players throughout my years in this position. On the homefront my wife, Jennifer Beane, and I have 4 wonderful children.   I value our family time together and am excited to introduce our kids to Rebel Country.
