March Madness - Career / College Fair
The month of March at Asbury is a month that is being dedicated to our students' future. On March 2, students participated in a Career / College Fair. Representatives from a wide array of career fields and Gaston College presented to the students. Students were able to take time at each booth and discover future career and educational options.

Therapy Dog Visits Asbury on Thursdays
Every Thursday, Charlie, the therapy dog visits Asbury Academy. Students get to sit down and read books to Charlie and spend time with her.

Volunteers Pack Thanksgiving Meals for Students
Community volunteers packed over 20 Thanksgiving meals for Asbury Academy students. Thank you to all who were involved.

Students Build Rabbit Hutch For Class Pet
Agriscience students completed a rabbit hutch build with the help of Mr. Mike Palmer. The project was a month long build to house their classroom pet rabbit, Asburn.

Bishop Lowery Speaks to Asbury Students
Guest speaker Bishop Lowery spoke to Asbury Academy students on not "Fouling Out" of life. A big thank you to him for taking time to speak to the students.

Horticulture Class Builds Picnic Table
The Horticulture class recently built a picnic table kit that was donated to the program. Students plan on placing the picnic table at the green house to use while working.

Open House a Success
Open house was a great success. Over 1/4 of Asbury students and their families attended. Spaghetti was served and families shopped in the ARC.

Classrooms Receive Makerspaces
Multiple classrooms at Asbury Academy recieved a makeover from a volunteer interior decorator. The rooms that were made over are very warm and inviting to the students and give a feel of relaxation while students complete assignments.
