I have been a math and science teacher for Lincoln County Schools for over 20 years. My hobbies include reading, swimming, kayaking, biking, and playing with my turtle, Fred. I am a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Appalachian State University. My doctoral research focused on the cognitive, psychological, and social aspects of students learning mathematics. I hope my love of learning and joy of teaching STEM subjects is appreciated by all my students.
